Hello, I'm Hannah, an accredited leadership, career, and team coach working with organisations and private clients in Scotland and across the UK (sometimes further). I love to partner with others as we work towards growth, realignment, and transformation of their working lives and environments and I am especially passionate about reflecting on what it looks like to live and work well. My core values are integrity, human worth, insight and strategy.
Credentials: I am an associate certified coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and an EMCC accredited team coach (ITCA), trained by the Global Team Coaching Institute (GTCI). I have over twenty years of cross-sector industry experience, with most time in business and people development and higher education environments. I'm also an academic with a PhD in theology (hermeneutics). Whilst a different context and discipline, my academic expertise of the holistic nature of interpretation and discernment very much underpins all my coaching work.
Community: Based in London for 17 years, I now live in the Scottish Highlands where I'm involved in a variety of local community-building projects. A keen runner, I love to get outside and run at the end of the working day.
See below for a deeper dive on all things me! Thank you for reading and do get in touch if you would like to talk more.
Developing agendas for individual, organisational, and social transformation
I care very much about working with others to bring positive change to the systems and structures that surround us. These systems and structures might be external and visible (e.g. organisational or societal) but they may also be more personal and internal (e.g. attitude, outlook, and mindset). No human or thing is an island; we are all interconnected.
My strength lies in helping others to think strategically and holistically about their situations and contexts. I've shifted career paths twice, spending most time in corporate and higher education environments. I understand well the journey of transition—of growing, realigning, and ultimately transforming into fresh shapes that fit and move with the transfiguring ecosystems around us. Transition can be beautiful but it is never easy.
The RSA: I am also a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (the RSA). It is an honour to be a Fellow and share in the RSA's commitment to finding better ways of thinking, acting, and delivering change in society today.
The Cadbury Centre: I am an Honorary Fellow of the Edward Cadbury Centre for the Public Understanding of Religion, University of Birmingham. Similarly to the RSA, the Cadbury Centre is committed to developing agendas for social transformation. Sharing this commitment, I work with them on projects that support my coaching work. Currently, I co-steer our inaugural value-based leadership work, involving dialogue between academics and practitioners in India and the UK. For more on my academic work, see research and book.
Corporate underpinnings: My career began with a decade in central London working in marketing communications and business and people development. I was part of the business development and talent management team at the global marketing communications group, DAS Global (Omnicom), and marketing manager at the advertising agency, Claydon Heeley. As such, I am particularly familiar with networks, both from parent company and subsidiary vantage points.
